Event Details
The Haunted Woods is an annual event hosted by the Salt Lake City area Exchange Clubs. All proceeds from the event go towards the fight against child and domestic abuse in Utah. Together with the city of Murray, and a team of big-hearted volunteers, The Haunted Woods delights visitors of all ages while contributing to a very important cause in our community. Dates & Times
October 24-26, 2022
Silly Trail: 5:30-7:00 pm
Spooky Trail: 7:00-9:00 pm

The not-scary, kid-friendly "Silly Trail" will run from 5:30-7:00 each night. Then, from 7:00-9:00 each night we present our "Spooky Trail" for our brave, thrill-seeking guests. Please allow us a few minutes between 7:00-7:05 pm to change trail themes.
Admission
$5.00 entry for all guests.
Kids 3 and under are FREE.

Proceeds benefit the Exchange Club of Murray in their fight against child abuse and domestic violence in Utah.

TWO WAYS TO BUY TICKETS!
1) Tickets are available online through TICKETLEAP. Sold as timed ticket reservations. There's a limited number of tickets available for each half-hour time slot. Time slots will sell out.
2) Standby tickets will also be available each night at the event. Watch for the white ticket booth. Credit/Debit or cash accepted.
Family Friendly
We take pride in being Utah's only family friendly haunted attraction. We do not allow any graphic violence, foul language, or demonic beings.

Choose between two different trails! The "Silly Trail" (5:30-7:00 each night) is our fun, scare-free trail that's safe for all ages. The "Spooky Trail" (7:00-9:00 each night) is meant to frighten guests that enjoy the many thrills of the Halloween season. Which will you choose?
​
And remember, if your child gets too scared at anytime on either trail, all they have to do is yell "GHOULS BE GONE." When our volunteers hear that, they know to instantly tone it down and make it fun and not-scary for your group. We want to make sure that EVERYONE in your group has a great time.
Sweet Treats
Whether you chose the spooky trail or the silly trail, treat yourself to a sweet treat at the end of your adventure.

Every paid admission ticket includes a fresh donut and a cup of hot chocolate. You can enjoy your refreshments in the newly remodeled Pavilion 5.
​
It's the perfect way to end an evening of fun with family and friends this Halloween season.
Weather
​
For more than 40 years, The Haunted Woods operates every year, rain or shine. We do not postpone or cancel The Haunted Woods due to weather.
​
If precipitation is ever in the forecast, the good news is that once you enter the woods, the high trees pretty much block out all of the rain. And everyone enjoys their hot cocoa and donuts under the cover of a giant pavilion. We promise to show you a great time, no matter what the weather.
Terrain
​
We work very hard at our event to make sure that EVERYONE can have a great time. When it comes to trails through the woods, we devote a significant portion of our preparation time to making sure the trails are both wide and smooth.
We've had strollers and manually-pushed wheelchairs make it through successfully in years past. But, no matter how hard we try, we're still working in a forest full of trees with complex root systems. As the result, we cannot make any guarantees for wheelchair or stroller accessibility.

Theme Nights
​
Each night of our event will feature a unique theme. We've invited some VERY important guests each night to come and hang out with you in line for meet-n-greets, and some special photo ops. All guests are invited to also dress up for each night's theme. Find out more on our Theme Nights page. Our 2021 theme night schedule:

Volunteers Needed
​
Whether you're part of a group, or want to simply volunteer on your own, we need you! To pull off this kind of event successfully, we depend on our incredible team of volunteers. From the scariest monster, to the friendliest ticket taker, we need volunteers of every kind. We invite you to join us. Note that all volunteers must be age 15 or older.
